But that’s not a reflection on our performance—Red Roof has one of the highest RevPARs in our market, consistently higher occupancy and ADR, and one of the highest customer satisfaction scores among economy hotels.

Red Roof is our one and only brand. That means we’re entirely focused on promoting that one brand and not trying to crowd your market with other brands. It’s paid off. Red Roof has strong brand recognition and loyalty. Redroof.com has over 8 million visitors per year and that number is growing. And 34.5% of walk ins are loyal RediCard members or corporate account guests.

It adds up to over 3.9 million stays per year with 1.75 average nights per stay.

With Red Roof, success costs less. With an application fee of $3,000 and an initial fee of $27,000, we have some of the lowest initial fees in the industry. And our ongoing fees are equally reasonable. Our royalty fee is 4.5% (with a quality rebate of 0.5% for qualifying properties) and our combined marketing and reservations fee is 4%. Not to mention that we have the lowest loyalty program participation fee in the economy market at only 3.5%.

According to Smith Travel Research, Red Roof consistently has one of the highest RevPARs of any hotel in the economy market. That’s supported by the fact that we consistently outperform in occupancy and ADR among economy competitors.

In 2010, Red Roof Inns earned the highest customer satisfaction score among all budget hotels in the Market Metrix Global Satisfaction Index. Based on more than 50,000 Trip Advisor reviews, guests ranked Red Roof Inn's rooms, service and overall value higher than other economy brands such as Comfort Inns, Microtel Inns and Super 8. And we are consistently rated among the leaders in guest satisfaction by J.D. Power and Associates.®
